Prince George’s County Noise Ordinance
Dear Oak Creek Club Homeowners,
For your information:
Neighborhood noise – such as noise from animals, loud music, and parties – can sometimes be very annoying.
The noise ordinance in Prince George’s County is no longer a time-based law. It is now in effect 24 HOURS A DAY, 7 DAYS A WEEK, and within 50 FEET of the residence on all sides. This ordinance may carry a substantial fine for the homeowner if the concern is not corrected.
Here’s what you can do. Talk with your surrounding neighbors if you have a large outdoor event planned and share your contact information with them if there are any concerns about your gathering. If you are unable to resolve disturbances neighborly, please contact the Prince Georges County Police non-emergency at 301-352-1200.
